We Are Messy, Not Dirty
My mom comes over all of the time and wonders how my house can be clean to dirty in the matter of what seems like minutes. Well, either I was a very clean child (unlikely) or she just forgets what it is like to have two small children and two dogs in a home. I think between juice boxes, dogs tails spilling drinks, and a two year old that drools so much that his nickname is Juicy, we just had a hard time keeping up. Nick and I both got in a mood where we needed to get down, dirty, and deep clean. Ok, we were kind of forced to because we were having our church small group over and this is embarrassing.
After doing a lot of research on Pinterest, the best bet that we found was to put alcohol in a spray bottle, spray it heavily, and take a sponge and wipe it. After it dries, then you then go back in with a bristle brush and rub it in a circular motion to loosen the fibers and it feels brand new. As you can see from the before and after.
This worked GREAT! The only problem, the fumes. The strong smell of Isopropyl alcohol and the amount that we had to clean was pretty intense and so were our headaches. Next time, we won’t let it be so long in between cleanings.
